“I went on the First Aid training course run by Acorn Training on Wednesday 21st May and wanted to feedback how excellent the trainer and course were. I’ve been on lots of first aid courses over the years, for both adult and child service users, and learnt so much more on this one. The course content was varied and flexible for the group attending (everything from school cycle trainers, a foster worker and homeless support worker to OT apprentices and reablement!), slides were informative and easy to read, and he was excellent at adapting the focus, skills, and knowledge, giving time for open discussion and sharing experiences throughout. He made it a safe space to ask questions. His obvious experience and passion, rather than just teaching from a book, made the course content very real, gave me the confidence that previous courses haven’t, and I came away genuinely feeling that I wouldn’t be standing back if help was needed. I haven’t stopped sharing the practical hints and tips with friends and work colleagues since!
All the training from Acorn has been better than any previous I’ve had but this trainer was an absolute legend. Oh, and your Managing Safer Moving and Handling training was pretty good too! 😊”

As a business Acorn Health and Safety are committed to providing quality health and safety consultancy and training. Our ISO 900:2008 accreditation is important to us and the regular review and evaluation of our consultancy services and course offering allows us to continually improve.
As an accredited provider with national organisations including IOSH, Qualsafe and the IATP we are required to evaluate our courses.
We ask for feedback from all delegates that attend our training and from our consultancy clients, the feedback we receive is used to further develop course materials, support staff members in their continued professional development and generally better the learning or consultancy experience. In addition, our course trainers also evaluate every course they facilitate as part of their own reflective practice.
