The Statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage states that at least one person who has a current paediatric first aid (PFA) certificate must be on the premises and available at all times when children are present, and must accompany children on outings. The certificate must be for a full course consistent with the criteria set out. Childminders, and any assistant who might be in sole charge of the children for any period of time, must hold a full current PFA certificate. PFA training must be renewed every three years and be relevant for workers caring for young children and, where relevant, babies. Our Level 3 Paediatric First Aid training meets the PFA requirements.
This course is of 12 hours (two days) duration and includes the 1-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION: Please ensure you bring photo ID with you and present to your trainer at the beginning of the course. This is a requirement of the course accreditation and certificates cannot be provided without it.
If English is your second language, you are permitted to bring and use a hard copy bilingual dictionary during the course. Test papers are only available in English; however, you can use your bilingual dictionary to help translate words. These can also be used in combination with a full verbally spoken multiple-choice question assessment.
