Tailored Courses
Not every course can be ‘off the shelf’. We’ll design training around your organisation, policies and people.
Ways to train with us
We recognise training needs to complement your day-to-day business, so we offer flexible options to suit you.
Open courses
Pre-scheduled courses that run regularly throughout the year at our training centre in Warmley, between Bristol and Bath. Ideal for individuals or businesses with only a few staff to train.
Book online or by phone during office hours. Booking online for the first time? We’ll create your account automatically and email your login details. Read our booking information sheet.
In-house courses
Delivered at your premises, or another suitable venue, at a time that suits your business, with as little disruption to your staff as possible.
In-house training includes:
- Our accredited courses
- Acorn Health & Safety courses
- Bespoke courses, designed around your business
Usually the most cost-effective option if you have more than six staff to train. It reduces downtime, saves travel and can reflect your local policies, procedures and practice.
Tailored (bespoke) courses
We have an enviable reputation for tailored training, designed around the individual needs of your organisation and staff teams. Our modular approach lets you group training and development activities over a set period.
- A cost-effective solution
- Meets your specific training and development needs
- Provides evidence of compliance with statutory duties
- Includes your own policies and procedures
Suitable for initial staff training, and for refreshing, updating or developing existing teams.
E-learning
Our e-learning courses are all externally accredited by nationally recognised organisations such as the FPA, LCA, RoSPA and IATP, and are presented using a blended approach.
A cost-effective way to complement classroom learning. For example, a trades business might take face-to-face asbestos training in year one, then refresh in year two with an asbestos e-learning course.
Why do our customers choose us?
Acorn Health & Safety has been, and always will be, committed to supporting others in their development. Our friendly team of administrators, trainers and consultants is on hand before, during and after your course.
Experienced, qualified trainers
Our trainers hold (or in a few cases are working towards) a recognised adult teaching and assessing qualification, alongside professional health care, health and safety, first aid and manual handling qualifications.
Most importantly, they have years of practical, hands-on experience of doing what they now teach. Many of our first aid trainers are registered nurses.
Engaging, practical learning
Whether delegates are confident learners or haven’t sat in a classroom for years, we use a wide variety of training styles to engage, motivate and build confidence.
Courses are relaxed yet informative, helping you stay legally compliant and protect your business, employees and property.
Nationally accredited
We are accredited as a company by many national awarding bodies, and our specialist health and safety trainers and our first aid and clinical skills team are all individually accredited too.
