First Aid at Work Training at Acorn Health and Safety Bristol

Most people tend to learn First Aid when they are requested to do so by their employers, however, approximately 80% of cardiac arrests happen in the home. Keeping your skills upto date and refreshing your CPR guarantees that you have the skills to help those around you should the need arise.

Learning and performing CPR, you could be the difference between life and death for a loved one at home, a colleague at work, or a stranger in the street.

Our first aid at work requalification training is aimed at those who have previously attended, and successfully completed, a three day first aid at work course training (with any recognised provider) who need to requalify before it expires. Places are open to any delegate who has previously completed a first aid at work course that is due to expire.  Whether you’ve previously qualified with us, St John Ambulance, a local college or another provider we look forward to welcoming you to one of our courses.  Proof of previous certification will need to be provided to attend this course.

You can only attend this course prior to your current 3 Day First Aid at Work Certificate expiry date t enable you to requalify in 2 days instead of 3 days. If your certificate has expired then you will still need to attend the full 3 Day First Aid at Work training to requalify.

The ability to save a life can empower employees in and outside the workplace. We frequently have people attending our first aid requalification courses saying they have used the skills learnt more outside of work than at work. Consequently, these skills are highly beneficial to both organisations and individuals!

First aid skills are critical for every business, so it’s necessary to find a reputable first aid training provider. If you are unsure about your legal requirements, you can arrange for a first aid assessment or audit to help you understand your requirements and to highlight the relevant first aid courses for your staff.

Owing to the practical nature of the courses, a basic level of general fitness is required. Delegates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline.

If you would like to book onto one of our First Aid courses to learn CPR, please contact us or view and book our Open Courses availability here. We still have a few spaces available on our Emergency First Aid at Work course starting on the 9th or 16th May and our 2 day First Aid at Work Requalification course on the 21st May.
